Full Service Menu

For years, real estate agents have typically charged 6% for their services. 3% to the listing agent and 3% to the buyers agent. The truth is that most people do not understand why these fees are so high. The fact is that most agents have no idea why 6% is the magical number and how it became the industry standard (please keep in mind, all commissions are negotiable). The real estate industry has done a great job of not explaining why the fees are the way they are. In my world, I base my fee on the amount of risk involved and how much I have to spend to support a listing that may or may not sell. The 6% is to insure that the real estate agent gets a large reward when a property sells to offset the huge output when a property does not sell.

My commissions schedule is very simple. If you as the home seller are interested in saving a lot of money, you must commit to bearing some of the risk. If I assume all of the risk, I will get rewarded proportionately to the risk (Higher risk = higher reward, lower risk = lower reward).
